This tool will give you a snapshot of your progression up the seniority list beginning today and each year thereafter until you reach age 60. The program counts the number of pilots SENIOR to you who are not yet AGE 60 on each snapshot date. This program does not include any forecast of attrition other than strict age 60 retirement! [There is always additional attrition from disabilities, death, early retirement and so on - the number of which CAN be predicted - but it is impossible to predict WHO these events will affect.]
The data provided is extracted from the US Airways pilot senioirity list. Date of Hire for the most junior pilot on the list is 4/17/00. Total number of pilots on this list is 5397 including 35 on personal leave, 255 supervisory and 7 on military leave. All pilots on sick leave, retired, deceased have been removed.
The programming assumes that you are the most senior pilot in your new hire class, so the results will be skewed somewhat by this.
Enter your birthday and date-of-hire below. You must use a two digit month and day. You must use a 4 digit year.
